Daydreaming News:

--Check out Amy Fries' PsychologyToday.com blog

--A new brain scan
study adds to the evidence that daydreaming helps the brain tackle complex problems. Lead researcher Kalina Christoff, PhD, says, "This study shows our brains are very active when we daydream--much more active than when we focus on routine tasks."

--Also read more about a new psychological study on daydreaming by Dr. Eric Klinger et. al. that finds that most "heavy" daydreamers are not "disturbed" as some may have thought--but happily imaginative!

--Congratulations to my friend and colleague, and Daydreams at Work endorser and contributor,
Ann Weisgarber. Ann's beautiful novel The Personal History of Rachel DuPree was double-listed for prizes in the UK's Orange Prize for Fiction 2009. She was also awarded the 2009 "best first fiction" prize by the Texas Institute of Letters.
